Family or Personal info: My husband Tom Tamburini is a manager Rural King. We have 2 children. Jordan is a senior at Indiana University working towards her degree in elementary education. Cole is a senior at ZCHS. Both Jordan and Cole work for Z-CAMP!

 

Something cool to share that nobody really knows about you: I have had 2 hip replacements and I love to play board games!

 

What you hope campers gain from their experience at Z-CAMP: I hope that they are all challenged to try something NEW at camp this summer! 

 

Your favorite thing about Z-CAMP: My favorite thing is working with the fun summer staff and meeting campers from every school.

 

Trever Dixon

 

Assistant Z Camp Director - Programs/CITs

  

Education and/or school year position:  I have recently graduated from Ivy Tech with my Associates in Early Childhood Education.  Early in my career I have been the Lead for a couple BAC programs through the YMCA. I have been a camp counselor for CIT’s and Enrichment and camps and a BAC Lead for 5 years. 

 

Family or Personal info: I am married to Amber. We have been married for 7 years this upcoming July. We currently have 4 foster children.  I have a dog named Toby. We currently live in Greenfield, IN.

 

Something cool to share that nobody really knows about you:  I love going to sporting events. I love to draw and be artistic.  I also love to watch Survivor and other reality shows. 

 

What you hope campers gain from their experience at Z-CAMP:  I hope that the campers get the feel of a real great summer.  I hope the campers have fun experiencing the new things that will be at camp this summer.  The campers are in for a great summer of fun and exciting activities.

 

Your favorite thing about Z-CAMP:  My favorite thing about Z-camp is bonding with the staff, campers and CIT’s.  I love the field trips and get to experience the new adventures each summer.

Family or Personal info: I have lived in Zionsville for 38 years. My parents also live in Zionsville and I had one brother and his family lives in Avon and Plainfield.I have 2 nieces and 2 nephews with 6 great nephews and 2 great niece which keeps things exciting. My kids are 2 cats Macy and Leo.

My hidden talent is a sling shot.

 

What you hope campers gain from their experience at Z-CAMP: 

I hope campers gain a life time of experiences. Learning new skills and just having the best summer ever.

 

Your favorite thing about Z-CAMP:  My favorite thing is meeting new staff, campers and reminiscing with the old. Seeing the look of excitement on their faces leaving at the end of the day.

Crafts and Safety Town Director

 

Education and/or school year position:  This year I will be serving as the Craft and Safety Town Director. I have been with ZCS for 11 nice years and have worked in the GROW division summer camp program since it started. During the school year I worked in the BKB program until I became the Bridge/BAC lead 6 years ago. Before ZCS I worked for 7 years as the assistant pre-K teacher at Trader’s Point Christian Academy and ran an in home daycare prior to that. During the school year I am the Bridge/BAC Lead at Eagle Elementary.

 

Family or Personal info: I have been married for 45 years to my high school sweetheart, Steve. We have 3 adult children, Matthew, Brian and Lisa, 2 grandchildren, age 9 and 4, and the sweetest little rascal rescue dog, Fifi.

 

Something cool to share that nobody really knows about you: 

I was born and raised in Southern California and spent many weekends living on our boat at Newport Beach and Catalina Island. My husband and I lived in Avalon, Catalina Island when we were first married where I worked at the local newspaper and he worked for the seaplanes. My favorite place to be is at the beach, but any large body of water will do in a pinch.

 

What you hope campers gain from their experience at Z-CAMP: 

I hope our campers will have lots of fun, make new friends, try new things, enjoy lots of outdoor activities, make lots of cool crafts and come away feeling more confident, physically fit and positive.

BAC Coordinator

 

Education and/or school year position:  I have been working for Zionsville Community Schools for about 13 years now. For about 5 years, I worked in the cafeteria in Zionsville West Middle School. I worked as a teacher's aid for a year. For 7 years now, I have been working for the BAC program. This will be my 7th summer at camp!

 

Family info: I live in Zionsville with my husband, Jay, and my two daughters, Sara and Sanaz. I am originally Persian, and I moved to America when I was 25. I have one mischievous bird named Thomas.

 

Something cool to share that nobody really knows about you:

I love to play soccer, re-decorate, and cook in my free time. I have a hidden talent; whistling very loudly.

 

What you hope campers gain from their experience at Z-CAMP:

I hopes that all of the campers will have a wonderful summer and make lots of friends and memories with one another. I also hope that they all learn things like singing songs, fishing, etc.

 

Your favorite thing about Z-CAMP: The memories that are made. I love spending time with all of the children and the staff, and I think that this year will be very fun!
